Plasma Television Review: Finding the Perfect Plasma TV for You
CA
In these coming years, a lot of people will be using digital televisions. They will be more meticulous of what type or kind of television they should buy. They will be more onto the high technology and onto good quality. With prices going on a down fall, more and more people will be able to afford a great looking plasma Television.
You can still have the TV that you have before, either you have an antenna, cable or satellite reception, but your old conventional TV won't be able to put up the digital TV all by itself. There will be a need for you to upgrade to a digital HDTV or you have to buy a decoder box which will convert the digital signals to analog for your older television. And because of this, you should consider buying an HDTV.
But before doing so, it would be wise to snoop and ask around. Read some Plasma Television reviews first to get a genral picture of what you are about to purchase.
Here are some samples of plasma Television and their appropriate reviews.
43-inch plasma HDTV.
Pioneer is the best plasma television for just about everyone, with the great balance of image quality, features and ease-of-use according to reviews. Despite the fact that Panasonic plasma TV offers deeper blacks, it lacks tuners, speakers and most inputs. Most Pioneer Plasma TV sports a component-style AV box, all home-theater equipment connects to the box, so only one cable leads to the TV. It uses a cablecard, has two digital HDMI inputs and an input for a pc. It has a 1024 x 768 pixels of resolution which is typical for a plasma TV of its size, just lower than some rear-projection TVs and LCD TVs
45-inch LCD HDTV LCD flat panel
It is wall-mountable and thin like plasma, but it also has higher resolution. The Sharp Aquos LCD television is one of the few HDTV that have 1920 x 1080 resolutions, that's enough to display every detail of 1080i high-definition television.
Some of the TVs on the market scale down the signal. One example of downside is that a high-resolution TV like the Sharp can highlight imperfections in lesser source material such as regular analog TV.
50-inch rear-projection HDTV
It gives you a large picture for less cost per pixel than plasma or LCD, but it is 19- inch deep, Some Sony rear projection HDTV isn't as svelte as a wall-mountable plasma or LCD TV. Professional say the Sony XBR TVs have black levels and image quality that rival or exceed that of bulkier, heavier CRT televisions it also has the highest resolution for HDTV. So you will be able to see a lot of image detail than with the other TVs. Sony's automatic iris adjustment is a unique feature which varies light output based on content. This brightens the image for outdoor views and sports, and it automatically drops brightness for movies and darker scenes
Budget 42-inch plasma HDTV
This is less expensive than Pioneer or Panasonic, but it also misses some of the features of the Pioneer. Their speaker are not detachable and has only one HDMI input which could be a problem if you have more than one component that needs to be input.
Picture-to-picture is not available and the input for pc is not present. Image quality is better than most plasma TVs with their black levels that are deep and rich. Their color settings somehow are not adjustable as they are on pioneer. But still, the image quality overall is still very good and there are also extra features that you should not miss. Panasonic is an excellent value based on reviews.
